A Stones Throw Away
More locally and within 10minutes’ drive, you will find the quintessentially English village of Ombersley.
The first known reference to the village was the granting of a Charter to Abbot Egwin, later Saint Egwin, of Evesham Abbey in 706 AD.
Ombersley Court is the traditional home of the Lords Sandys, many of whom are buried in the family mausoleum in the churchyard of St Andrew’s parish church.

A traditional black and white timber-framed building from the 15th Century lies in the heart of the picturesque village of Ombersley just 3.6 miles away. The Kings Arms offers fresh local produce with a wide choice on the menu. For those early diners they have a great steak and wine offer!

Just down the road from the Kings Arms is another favourite in the village of Ombersley. This former coach Inn has a history that dates back to the 17th Century and many of its historic features still remain. It has a lovely atmosphere, delicious food and a great place to sit with a drink and even enjoy watching the local cricket.

Fruiterers Arms
Once an old cider house in a small hamlet just outside of Ombersley, it has now expanded and adapted into a unique 10-barrel microbrewery – offering some of the best full flavoured cask ales in the area! This is a great stop for a quick pint during a lovely bike ride. Approximately 1.9 miles.

Originally a family butcher since 1925 it is now a place where you can purchase great quality meat, fish and local deli goods, as well as a quick homemade sandwich or snack. Checketts is a nice spot for brunch, lunch or afternoon tea! Approximately 3.6 miles.
